Privacy notice
Last updated 2026-10-07
This notice explains which personal data Rareytec Thermo collects, why, and what
your rights are. The service is operated by Rareytec Co., Ltd., Thailand
(see the imprint). Questions and requests:
tec@rarey.net.
What we store
- Your account: e-mail address, display name, the invitation code you used and a
one-way hash of your password (we never see or store the password itself).
- Login records: date and time of each login, logout, registration and password
reset, with the IP address it came from. We use these to keep accounts secure.
- Your work: the projects, components, data files and parameters you create or upload,
and your conversations with the built-in AI assistant inside a project.
- Invitation requests: the name, e-mail, company and use case you enter on the
request form.
- Newsletter: only if you subscribe and confirm the link we e-mail you (double opt-in).
Every issue has a one-click unsubscribe link.
- Server logs: like every web server, ours logs each request (IP address, time, page,
browser type). We use them for security and for aggregate visitor statistics; they are not
shared with anyone.
Cookies
We set a single session cookie that keeps you logged in. There are no advertising or
third-party tracking cookies.
Who else receives data
- AI assistant: when you use the built-in assistant, your messages and the project
context it needs are sent to Anthropic (the provider of the Claude model) to generate the
answer. Anthropic does not use this API traffic to train its models.
- Public data look-ups: to find structures and literature data, the names or
identifiers of your components may be sent to public databases such as PubChem or the NIST
WebBook. Mark a project confidential to stop automatic look-ups; then nothing leaves
the server without your explicit click.
- Page assets: your browser loads the page layout and icon fonts from the jsDelivr
CDN, which therefore sees your IP address.
- E-mail: account and newsletter e-mails are sent through our mail provider.
We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not share your projects with other users.
Where the data lives
On our own server in Thailand. Connections to the site are encrypted (HTTPS).
How long we keep it
Account data and your projects are kept while your account exists. When you ask us to close
your account, we delete it together with its projects (we can first give you your projects as
files). Invitation requests that do not lead to an account are deleted on request.
Your rights
You may ask for a copy of your data, its correction or deletion, or object to its use, by
writing to tec@rarey.net. We answer
within 30 days. These rights apply under the Thai Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and, for
users in the EU, the GDPR. You may also complain to your data-protection authority.
